Manual premium by model
Model lines with at least 10 sales on each side. These mix trims: for example, if most GT3s are manual and most Turbos automatic, the model-level gap reflects that mix as much as the gearbox.

Reading these numbers
"Automatic" covers PDK, Tiptronic and Sportomatic. The gearbox comes from the data provider's transmission field or the listing title (for example "6-Speed" or "PDK"); sales where it isn't stated are left out, so each row uses only part of the sample. Model year, mileage and options still differ between the two groups, so treat the premium as a description of recent sales, not a guaranteed value difference for one car.
Method
Every figure on this page is computed from our sample of completed, sold public auctions after removing parts, replicas, restomods and other non-car lots. Medians use U.S.-dollar sales only; we don't convert currencies. The window is the last 12 months unless a row says otherwise. A row needs 10+ manual and 10+ automatic sales; premium = manual median ÷ automatic median − 1. It is a sample, not every sale, and not an appraisal. Sold-price data from Old Cars Data auction records. Full methodology.
